European Paper Wasp

Shot this on the way back the office from lunch yesterday. European paper wasp, I believe. kevin

Flowers Along Oatka Creek

In July of 2011 I wandered the shores of Oatka Creek, parking behind the old Ronzo’s Grocery Store in Garbutt.  Generally, I guess I’d prefer to have my fly rod in hand as opposed to my Canon, but in July, the fishing is a little rough as water levels drop. Here’s a couple of flowers …

New Photos for Today

I’ve been enjoying a plugin for GIMP called National Geographic. You are probably familiar with the “look” of a National Geographic photo. Stark contrast, bright colors, and assuming the photo itself was fantastic, just plain beautiful.

Fall Tomatoes and Roses

As the summer winds down, and a crispness falls over Western New York, I got a couple of quick photos from the driveway garden as I was home for lunch today. The weather has been cool and wet here, and the grass is growing head high, unchecked by a lawn mower. I’ll miss the tomatoes …
